This year we will be celebrating 68th anniversary of Victory Day. The Cambridge Russian-Speaking Society is holding an evening of Memories to honour veterans, their family members and friends who fought in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. That evening there will be a unique opportunity to preview an exhibition of drawings created by professional artists-soldiers during the war. These original personal encounters are of unique historic and artistic value and will be shown for the first time outside Russia.

Как жаль, что между нами расстояния и границы: в своё время я приобрёл у наследников Г. Фитингофа практически все его блокадные графические листы. В том числе и эскизы, и наброски, и варианты его открыток, вышедших в Ленинграде во время блокады.
Было бы прекрасное дополнение этой экспозиции.
